Agreement

These terms govern your use of the Mortevo Audit platform. If your firm has signed a separate written agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence over these terms. By creating an account or continuing to use the platform, you accept these terms.

Beta status

Mortevo Audit is currently in a controlled release. The service is provided on an "as is" basis during this period. We may change features, workflows or pricing with reasonable notice. We recommend that during the beta period you do not use Mortevo Audit as the sole system of record for regulatory evidence.

Your responsibilities

• Keep account credentials confidential and enable multi-factor authentication.
• Ensure the data your users upload is accurate, lawful, and that you have the right to process it.
• Comply with the FCA rules and applicable law when using the platform for regulated activity.
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell or circumvent the platform's security controls.

Acceptable use

You must not use the platform to store or transmit unlawful content, malware, or content that infringes another person's rights, and you must not use it to attack, probe or disrupt any system. We may suspend accounts that breach these rules.

Intellectual property

Mortevo Audit, the platform, its regulatory engine, brand and content are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of the content your firm uploads. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service.

Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service during the beta period. Scheduled maintenance is communicated in advance where practical.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid by your firm in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms or where required by law. On termination, we will make customer content available for export for a reasonable period.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
